Propulsion is provided by Torqeedo, the German leader in marine electric propulsion. The Torqeedo Cruise is an electric motor comparable to the thrust of a 9.9 hp gasoline engine. This allows a more than comfortable cruising speed of 10-12 mph and does not require a boater's license. The PONTUS is designed so that the vessel can be steered safely and with great ease, making it suitable for any water sports enthusiast.
